That's the moment a website earns its keep. Its job is to be there when someone's looking and make getting in touch the obvious next step. That's what I build — not a tidy brochure nobody sees, but a site that works for you while you're on a job or serving a customer.
I've built sites for service businesses across the valley and the wider area, so I've a good idea what a small local firm actually needs from one. Nine times out of ten that's more enquiries coming in — not thirty pages of waffle that nobody reads to the end.

A lot of websites get put together by an agency hundreds of miles off, or through a faceless portal where you never speak to the person doing the work. It can turn out fine, but it often means waiting days for a reply and ending up with a site that could belong to any town anywhere.

How I build
Hand-built and quick to load
I code every site myself. No drag-and-drop builders like Wix, and no WordPress theme weighed down with a dozen plugins that slow it to a crawl and fall over the moment one of them updates. I work in Laravel, the same framework plenty of bigger companies trust, which keeps a site quick, secure and easy to change down the line.
The phone comes first when I design, because that's where most people in Bacup will land on you. The pages load fast, read plainly, and steer people towards the thing that counts — ringing you, messaging you, or sending a short form. Nothing cluttering the way, nothing pointless to scroll through.
Search gets thought about from the off, not bolted on at the end. I set each page up so Google can work out what you do and that you do it around Bacup, which gives you a fair crack at turning up when someone nearby searches. It isn't a trick and it doesn't happen overnight, but it's done properly from day one.

How much does a website cost for a Bacup business?
It comes down to the size of the site and what you need it to do. A neat site for a sole trader or a small shop usually starts in the low hundreds, and the price goes up if you want extras like online booking or a lot of pages. Whatever the job, I work out a fixed price first and put it in writing, so there are no surprises later.
Do I have to be in Bacup to work with you?
Not at all. I'm based in Burnley, which is a short drive over, so I'm happy to come and meet you if you'd rather talk face to face. In practice most of a project happens over the phone, by email and through a preview link I send you, so a fair few clients I never need to meet in person.
Can you help my Bacup business get found on Google?
That's usually the main reason people get in touch, and it matters even more up here at the top of the valley. I build each site so Google can tell what you do and that you do it in and around Bacup. I can't promise you'll be top by next week, but the work that gives you a proper chance is in place from the start.
Will it work properly on a phone?
Yes, and that comes first. Most people round here will find you on their phone, so I build the site for a small screen before I worry about laptops. It loads fast, reads clearly, and the call and message buttons sit where a thumb can reach them.
Can you redo the website I already have?
Usually, yes. If your current site is slow, looks dated, or just isn't bringing the phone to life, I can rebuild it. Where it's worth keeping, I'll hold on to the pages already doing well in search so you don't slip back while the new one goes up.
Do you keep an eye on the site after it launches?
If that's what you'd like. Some people are happy to take it on from day one, others would sooner I handle the updates, backups and the odd change as things move on. There's an optional monthly arrangement for that, and you're not tied in for the long haul.
